This position places Olea within the wider Central Serengeti ecosystem, surrounded by open plains, seasonal grasslands, acacia country and safari routes leading toward the Seronera Valley and other well-known wildlife areas. The Central Serengeti is valued as a year-round safari region because permanent water sources and varied habitats support resident wildlife even when the great migrating herds are moving through other areas of the ecosystem. The precise wildlife encountered always depends on natural movement, rainfall and season. Guests flying into Central Serengeti will normally arrive at Seronera Airstrip, the principal airstrip serving this part of Serengeti National Park. From there, the transfer to Olea becomes part of the safari, with opportunities for wildlife sightings along the route.

Approximately 30 kilometres in a direct line from Olea’s coordinates. A practical safari transfer is expected to be approximately 30 to 40 kilometres and around 45 to 60 minutes, depending on the selected track, road conditions, wildlife activity and game-viewing stops.
Seronera Visitor Centre
Approximately 30 kilometres in a direct line, with an estimated practical transfer of 35 to 45 kilometres and about 50 to 70 minutes.
Naabi Hill Gate
Approximately 80 kilometres in a direct line. The practical road journey is likely to be approximately 90 to 110 kilometres and around 1 hour 40 minutes to 2 hours 15 minutes.
Arusha by Road
Approximately 320 to 340 kilometres, normally requiring around 7 to 9 hours, depending on the itinerary, park formalities, road conditions and game viewing along the way.
